| A PATRIOTIC LEGACY
by Evelyn Heinz (Fulltime mother of 7 grown children grandma of 17 Writer, Poet and Proud American) It is my fondest hope That I may pass on A patriotic legacy. Oh, if each child of mine Might share in the love That I have in my heart For my country, AMERICA. It is my utmost dream That I may pass on A patriotic legacy. That each grandchild of mine Might share in the love That I have in my heart For my country, AMERICA. It has been my joy To walk in freedom's path Of my own parents and Grandparents' patriotic legacy. Oh, if they only knew That I now share their love Deep in my heart For our country, AMERICA. It has been my delight To watch our 'Stars and Stripes' Waving to us overhead Such a patriotic legacy Given us by our forefathers. Oh, if the only knew How it's touched my heart For it stands for our AMERICA. |
