BORN IN THE USA
ED MILLER
Thanks for your tribute. I proudly served from '69-'76 with
two tours in Vietnam. Judging by some of your earlier photos,
that's what kept us going and why we were fighting! Brings back MANY memories!

Picture was taken at the DaNang airport in the spring of 1970.  Jeep was assigned to the Naval Support activity DaNang and belonged to my cousin who was the storekeeper for the NSA.  I was an Air traffic Controller on the USS Ranger in the Gulf. My main job was controlling departing aircraft and joining them up in flight to head out on their respective missions.  i also controlled the airborne tanker in the event of a returning aircraft needing fuel.  Sometimes it got really hairy if one was returning damaged and low on fuel.
