| What Makes a Mom
As we walk along this road of life Many people are met along the way. Some of them just come and go, Others remain and are here to stay. One of those people became precious to me, Through the years our relationship has grown From the time that I married her first-born son, Until now I am accepted as her own. She has shown that there is more to a family Than being part of it only through birth. It's a bond formed with love and compassion That shows what a "true" family is worth. We share in the joys and the sorrows, As well as the laughter and tears. There's nothing we need hide from one another, It's what made her special to me through the years. I thank her for her constant presence, She'll hold a place in my heart 'til the end. I'm so thankful that I've come to know her Not only as MOM, but as FRIEND. by Linda Lee Wolovich |
